Pin Applications & Folders in Windows 7 Taskbar

Windows 7 is the highly advanced and feature rich operating system from Microsoft till date, featuring many enhancements and new implementations. If you are a Windows 7 user and access certain applications or folders frequently, you can pin those apps or folders to Windows 7 taskbar area for quick navigation. This will eliminate the need of going to the start menu, search for the program and then launch it.

Pin Applications & Folders in Windows 7 Taskbar

  • Drag any application and drop it in the taskbar
  • “Pin in the taskbar” (Pin to Taskbar) notification will appear
  • Now you have successfully pinned the application to the taskbar
  • You are done.
You can also simply right-click on the the shortcut of any application on the Start menu, and select the pin in the taskbar (Pin to Taskbar) option. Following the above steps you can pin files and folders to the taskbar area as well.
